Client-side processing
All document conversion (Markdown and DOCX to Atlassian Document Format) runs entirely in your browser. Your content is never sent to our servers during conversion. No document data leaves your device unless you explicitly use the "Publish to Confluence" feature.
Publish to Confluence
When you use the publish feature, the converted ADF content and your Confluence API credentials are sent through our server proxy to the Confluence REST API. The server proxy forwards the request to Atlassian and returns the response. We do not store, log, or retain any of this data. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract fulfillment).
Local storage
If you configure Confluence API credentials (base URL, email, API token), these are stored
in your browser's localStorage under the key converttoconfluence:settings.
This data never leaves your browser except when you explicitly publish to Confluence. You can
delete your stored credentials at any time via the API Key dialog or by clearing your
browser's site data.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. No tracking cookies, no session cookies, no functional cookies.
Web analytics (Plausible)
We use Plausible Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It is not possible to draw conclusions about individuals. The following data is collected in aggregated form: page URL, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, and country. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding usage patterns).
Hosting
This website is hosted on Hetzner (Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). The web server automatically collects access logs including IP address, requested URL, timestamp, HTTP status code, and browser information. These logs are used for error diagnosis and security purposes only. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing of your personal data (Articles 15–21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
